Neerja Domestic Box-Office: Crosses The Massive 50 Crore Mark!

Sonam Kapoor starrer film Neerja has impressed the audience as well as the critics alike. Its strong content is wining hearts not only in India but also in abroad. The love of the cine goers is translated in huge box-office numbers. The makers of the biopic can rejoice as the film has crossed the massive 50 crore mark at the domestic front.

The film (Week 2) raked in Rs. 3.15 crores on Friday, Rs. 5 crores on Saturday and Rs. 6.65 crores on Sunday, hence making its total stand at Rs. 50.12 crores at the domestic markets. The film is giving tough competition to the new releases and still is riding high.

Neerja is based on a real life incident where a 23 year old air hostess Neerja Bhanot loses her life while saving the lives of the 359 passengers of a high jacked plane.
