Salman Khan is playing the role of a mentally unstable killer in the forthcoming film Kyunki. 'Kyunki', which also stars Kareena Kapoor and Rimi Sen , is directed by Priyadarshan and is based on the Malayalam movie 'Thalavattam'. 'Thalavattam' had Malayalam megastar Mohanlal in the male lead and the versatile actor bagged all the awards of that year for his amazing performance. 'Kyunki' has Salman playing the male protagonist who is accused of the murder of his wife and is declared mentally unstable. Paying compliment to Mohanlal Salman says jovially, " I didn't see 'Thalavattam' because I didn't want to be complexed by Mr. Mohanlal's work.
