Akshaye Khanna and Ayesha Takia play a couple very much in love. But Akshaye has a problem; he tries to stop even the slightest level of tension by popping a pill to unrattle his shaken nerves. This comes to the notice of Rani's family members who in turn try to separate them. And if that was not enough for Ashish, there is his friend Rohit (Aftab Shivdasani) who also loves Rani. Despite all these problems, Rani genuinely loves Ashish and sticks to him. However, when Ashish goes to visit the doctor, he misunderstands the doctor's diagnosis of hypertension to cancer.Ashish's world is turned up side down. And before dying he decides to do the right thing. He wants the best for his love Rani, so he embarks on a plan to make Rani hate him, so that she will not suffer the ordeal of his death. So, now he starts flirting with another lady,( Sania) Mallika Sherawat. Seeing Sania in Ashish's arms, Rani is dejected and dumps him. Down hearted Rani asks her family to choose her a suitable groom. Her family chooses Rohit. And as fate would have it, Ashsish realises that he does not suffer from cancer at all. So now he has to break up Rani and Rohit's wedding.
