Storyline
It is a story of Paan Singh Tomar who was an Indian athlete and was a national steeplechase champion for seven times. Paan Singh Tomar later became one of the most dreadful decoits in Chambal Valley after his retirement.

Plot
Paan Singh Tomar is the factual epic trip of a brilliant runner who converted into revolutionary. Its director is Tigmanshu Dhulia, and producer is Ronnie Screwala.
It is a tale about a gentleman from the little town of Madhya Pradesh who mounted as a sportsperson and ruled the steeplechase occasion at the Indian National Games for seven years in a round whose record stood victorious for ten years.
The man was Pan Singh Tomar. He came from the Rajpoot society of Madhya Pradesh.
But reputation didn't end there - he became even more eminent or rather notorious when he gave up his running shoes and went on to turn out to be a Baaghi and caused disaster in the Chambal Valley.
Irrfan Khan and Mahi Gill are the principal actors in the film.

PAAN SINGH TOMAR is a Hindi feature film which released on 2nd March, 2012. This film has been directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and falls in the drama genre.Story : Irrfan Khan has played the role of Paan Singh Tomar. Actually this film is based on the real story of an athlete, who had to turn to be a rebel (dacoit) due to circumstances. Paan Singh Tomar was a runner who was also an army officer. He won Indian National Games seven times continuously. But things started taking bitter turn and he became a rebel who was also called a dacoit.What were those bitter events which changed a National athlete to a dacoit is what this film is all about.Acting : Irrfan Khan has brilliantly performed the title role. He has laboured hard to fit into the role and appears slim and like athlete. He impresses a lot as Paan Singh Tomar. Mahi Gill is also okay in her role. Rest actors are also up to the mark.Script : Nothing to say about the story because it is a real story. It is a touching story. Its screenplay is tight and gripping. Its dialogues are powerful and punch the corrupt system and corrupt politician.Music : Music is according to the subject.Cinematography is also excellent.Direction : Tigmanshu Dhulia has given a good film in the name of Paan Singh Tomar. He has directed well and impresses the audience. His takings are good and scenes are not senseless.Plus Points : Touching Story; Irrfan Khan's PerfromanceConclusion : It has been based on the real life of Paan Singh Tomar who was highly talented and won awards seven times in a row. Hence it would attract audience. Also it touches most Indians and strikes the right chord.Verdict : A good film. You must watch if you have time.
