One more happy news for Team Hindi medium! Still in theaters, performing rock-solid on box office, film Hindi Medium got one more feather to add in their cap. Recently, Delhi government decided to make Hindi medium a tax-free film, considering the good message it conveys and thought more and more people should go to theaters and watch it. Delhi is 3rd state to join the queue after Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
Upon receiving such joyous news, the lead actor Irrfan Khan shared a tweet and said thanks in his own style, quoting “Dilli walon ke liye ab Mitthu aur Raj ki kahaani hai tax-free! Thank you for the support for #HindiMedium @ArvindKejriwal and @msisodia *Namaste Emoji*” It was cheering news for the team as most of the shooting for the film took place in Delhi NCR region.
Hindi Medium is a critically acclaimed movie that cast a bold statement on social biases toward children studying in English medium and what effects it renders on parents from the middle class, who are concerned about the education of their children. The film is directed by Saket Chaudhary and has the praise-worthy cast of Irrfan Khan , Saba Qamar , Dishita Sehgal, Deepak Dobriyal, Sanjay Suri, Neha Dhupia, Sumit Gulati and Rajesh Sharma.
