Prasoon Joshi clarifies that he has not yet seen Bhansali’s Padmavati!

There were rumors and speculations have been made that CBFC Chief Prasoon Joshi attended a special screening of Padmavati before other members of SBFC. But, in a recent media interaction, Prasoon pushed aside all the rumors and cleared the air. He claimed that the rumors are baseless and he is yet to see the film. He will follow the CBFC rules. Padmavati is already surrounded by controversies all around it regarding its release.

In a text to IANS, Joshi said, “The speculative reports a few publications are carrying about I having watched Padmavati are absolutely baseless and untrue. I have not watched the film, not expressed any views regarding it. The film will follow the due process at CBFC.”

BollywoodMDB reported that Joshi supported Bhansali by putting aside the rant of Arjun Gupta, CBFC member. He said, “It’s unfortunate to see the personal point of view expressed by an advisory panel member of CBFC against Sanjay Leela Bhansali. By no means does it represent the point of view of CBFC as an organization or the CBFC board. We have respect for Bhansali as an individual and artist.”
