Sushant Singh Rajput’s ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’ seems very door from commencement!

‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’ starring Sushant Singh Rajput, made a lot of headlines when it was announced a couple of months back. As it was touted to be the first Indian fantasy space story, Sushant even went to NASA to train himself for the role. But the latest update on the film might just disappoint all the fans out there. ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’ was expected to roll earlier this year but the first schedule of the film has been pushed further yet again. If the sources are to be believed, lack of finance has led to this indefinite delay in the shooting. The makers lack finances and are stuck with the pre-production work.

A source close to the makers was quoted thus, “After Sushant returned from NASA, he was told that the film would take a few more months of pre-production work. It was only legit that he gave his dates to Abhishek Kapoor for Kedarnath, who was set to start filming.” The source further added, “As of now, the film hasn't been shelved, but since it's an expensive movie to make, it can't start until the financial logistics are worked out. The actors have assigned their dates to different films, which were earlier slated for Chanda Mama Door Ke.”

Meanwhile, Sushant is currently busy with Kedarnath and has also been finalized for the Hindi remake of ‘The Fault In Our Stars’.
