By BollywoodMDB Team - September 11, 2017
Indeed every Bollywood buff is excited for the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati and there are plenty of reasons for that! So be it Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone paired again by Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself, and also it is a historic period drama and so on! Though shooting schedule for the Padmavati had a roller coaster ride, production team is trying to follow the pre-planned schedule. There have been many speculations for the release date of Padmavati. And much like every other news for the film, the proposed release date for the film, November 2017 is still far-fetched and rumours of its delay are making rounds. But, no such rumours and speculations were backed by the film's representative as confirmed by BolywoodMDB.
As per the source of DNA, “The makers are planning to release it in February 2018. Apart from Anushka Sharma’s Pari (February 9, 2018), no other big film is slotted for February” But as BollywoodMDB confirmed from the official sources, the released date of Padmavati is still not decided and not a single connotation on its release in February 2018. And also considering the list of catastrophes the project has been plagued by, many controversies and even delays, which makes it difficult for the film to finish it’s post production duties until the scheduled time.
Although, shooting schedule for the film is almost complete but considering the scale of the movie and aesthetical gravitate, Sanjay Leela Bhansali would like to give plenty of time for the film so that everything will be perfected! Or even reshoot some sceens if need be. And if it demands more time and efforts for the post production, Bhansali would like to invest it. So we can assume the release date for the film would surely be pushed forward for the sake of film!
The film Padmavati features a talented stat-cast of Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone along with Aditi Rao Hydari, Jim Sarbh, Sonu Sood and even Danny Denzongpa in the supporting cast! Ranveer will be seen essaying the role of the medieval-era Delhi ruler Alauddin Khilji. Deepika plays the title role of Queen Padmavati. Shahid Kapoor renders the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh of Mewar, who is the husband of the Queen Padmavati.
