Actor Varun Dhawan's upcoming film 'Badlapur' receives Adult Certificate from the Censor Board.
The film maker Sriram Raghavan's directorial venture 'Badlapur' received an A certificate from the censor board. The dark revenge drama has several violent scenes, abusive language and sexual content for which the decision was taken to put it in the adult list.
The Censor Board was reportedly ready to give the film U/A and pass it if the explicit content was removed and a few scenes were chopped off but the director seemed not happy with the deletions and hence accepted the adult certification. 'Badlapur' is a dark movie and shows the sad part of life. The film stars Actors Varun Dhawan, Yami Gautam, Huma Qureshi, Radhika Apte, Divya Dutta and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Raghvan's dark drama is set to release on February 20, 2015.
