Amrita Arora

If you are a regular viewer of MTV, then most of you just love this girl. Her delightful smile and round sparkling eyes adds glow to the screen on her every appearance. This tall and fair girl commenced the journey of her career as a model and then she gradually shifted to Bollywood. In the initial days, she was known as item queen Malaika Arora Khan's younger sister, but gradually she created her own identity in the tinsel town. We are talking about none other than Amrita Arora, a former popular VJ on MTV.

Amrita was born in Chembur, Mumbai on 31st January 1981. Her father Anil Arora is a Punjabi businessman and her mother is Joyce Polycarp. She studied at Loreto Convent in Chembur. Amrita is married to businessman Shakeel Ladak and the couple is blessed with two sons named Azaan and Rayaan. She is a very good friend of actress Kareena Kapoor.

Amrita started her career as a VJ on MTV India. She became famous after hosting shows like MTV House Full and MTV Chillout. She has also appeared in the television commercials of Elle 18, Ponds, Sunsilk Fruitiness and After Smoke. Her debut film in Bollywood was 'Kitne Door Kitne Paas' opposite Fardeen Khan. The movie failed at the box office. She next appeared in Vikram Bhatt's 'Awara Paagal Deewana' which was a hit. After that she was featured in a series of unsuccessful films like 'Zameen' ,'Shart - The Challenge' ,'Rakht' ,'Deha' ,'Fight Club' ,'Red - the dark side' ,'Speed' etc. She has also appeared in the controversial film 'Girlfriend' along with Isha Koppikar. The film was about the lesbian relationship.

Amrita has appeared in a cameo and in a supporting role in the films like 'Om Shanti Om' ,'Kambakkht Ishq' ,'Heyy Babyy' , 'Golmaal Returns', 'Rama Rama Kya Hai Dramaaa' etc. Amrita was next seen doing key roles in the films like 'Hello' ,'Heroes' ,'Team- The Force' , 'Raakh' and 'Ek Tho Chance'.

Currently, Amrita is enjoying the bliss of marital life and motherhood.
