Mom weekend box-office witnesses an expected rise!

Ravi Udyawar ’s latest release Mom features an ensemble cast of eminent actors like Sridevi , Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna among others. The movie is a crime thriller drama which is a gratifying tale of a mom’s love and strength. The film has garnered praises from across all corners and is critically acclaimed. This is veteran actress Sridevi’s 300th film and hence is very special to the makers.
The movie started on a slow note at the box-office with Rs. 2.90 crores on its opening Friday. The bizz, however, witnessed a considerable growth over the weekend citing its positive word of mouth. The movie further made Rs. 5.08 crores on Saturday and Rs. 6.42 crores on Sunday. So, the total three-day box-office collection stands at Rs. 14.40 crores at the domestic markets.
The film also stars two Pakistani actors Adnan Siddiqui who plays Sridevi ’s husband and Sajal Ali who plays her daughter. Mom released on July 7 along with Kartik Aaryan’s Guest Iin London which is a comedy drama. The film could not pick up well and has received mixed reviews. It is facing a tough competition from Sridevi ’s film. The weekdays are expected to remain steady for Mom .
