'Airlift' Box-office: Superb Monday, Tuesday; Crosses 70 Crore Mark!
Akshay Kumar starrer 'Airlift' had a fantastic first Monday and Tuesday at the domestic box-office.

Raja Krishna Menon 's directorial film ' Airlift ' starring Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur , has been enjoying rave reviews from the critics as well as the audience. The movie witnessed a fantastic opening on its first weekend which is Rs. 44.30 crores. The thriller raked in Rs. 10.40 crores on Monday and Rs. 17.80 crores on Tuesday. Hence, the total collection stands at Rs. 72.50 crores at the domestic front. As expected, the film benefited a lot from the extended Republic Day Holiday.
' Airlift ' is based on the real life incident and narrates the story of an unsung hero who with his wit and courage managed to rescue more that 1 lakh 70 thousand Indians stranded in a war zone of 'Kuwait'. Directed by Raja Krishna Menon , the film also stars Purab Kohli . Akshay Kumar is set to break his own records with this film. The thriller has been released along with Tusshar Kapoor and Aftab starrer ' Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3 '.
