Newton remains strong despite new releases!

Rajkmmar Rao’s Newton is one gem of a film! Simple yet profound, the movie manages to touch your soul. The film features a stellar star cast of Pankaj Tripathi, Anjali Patil, Raghubir Yadav, Sanjay Mishra and Rajkummar. Director Amit Masurkar has executed storyline exceptionally well. Newton has garnered praises all over from the fans and the industry insiders alike. It received a raving response from the critics as well. The film has also been selected as India’s official entry for the Oscars 2018.

In the first week, the movie made Rs. 11.83 crores at the domestic front. It further raked in Rs. 91 lakhs, Rs. 1.66 crores on Saturday and Rs. 1.75 crores on Sunday. Hence, the total collection week 2 stands at Rs. 16.15 crores in the domestic markets.

The movie narrates the tale of a newly recruited government employee named Nutan Kumar a.k.a. Newton, played by Rajkummar Rao, who is entrusted with the responsibility of carrying out a fair election in a Naxal hit area.
