Saif Ali Khan is back on the silver screen after a while. However, his latest outing Chef did not charm the audience as expected. It surprisingly is one of the lowest opening films of 2017. Starring Saif Ali Khan in the lead, the film garnered mixed reviews from the critics as well as the audience. The movie also stars Svar Kamble, Padmapriya, and Chandan Roy Sanyal.
The movie made Rs. 1.05 crores on its opening Friday which is very low. The film needs to have a decent collection during the weekend in order to have a good total. This collection is lower than last few releases at the box-office including Bhoomi, Simran, Haseena Parkar, Daddy and many others.
Directed by Airlift fame, Raja Krishna Menon, Chef is about a man who leaves his steady job for his son and to follow his passion for cooking, starts a food truck. The movie has been shot in like Mumbai, Delhi, Kerala, Goa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat among other places. You can read the review by BollywoodMDB to get insights about the film.
