This upcoming A-Lister debuted in the industry long back in 2001 through a daily soap \'Just Mohobbat\'. The actor later tried his hands in direction by directing a play \'The President Is Coming\' in 2006. He made the adaption of the play into a film with the same name. \'The President Is Coming\' released in the year 2009 marked the directorial debut of the actor into Bollywood. The film starring Konkona Sen Sharma and Shernaz Patel received mixed reviews becoming a semi-hit.
