A much awaited film of Salmaan Khan has arrived. The film is none other than DABAANG. From the time its promos were started to be shown on channels, people became curious to watch DABAANG. The story of the film is such: Chulbul Pandey (Salmaan Khan) is a fearless police officer in Lalgang (Bihar). Though he is a corrupt police officer, his methods are different which will be liked by the audience. He snatches money from criminals, black marketers and distributes among the poor and needy people. Thus in a way he is Robin Hood type personality. In one dialogue he even compares himself with Robin Hood. As a police officer Chulbul Pandey's working style is conventional. His childhood was not a good experience. He had seen many traumatic events in his childhood. He had lost his father when he was too young. After the demise of his father, circumstances take turn and his mother Naini (Dimple Kapadia) gets married to Prajapati Pandey (Vinod Khanna). After her marriage with Prajapati Pandey, Naini gave birth to a son named Makhanchan (Arbaaz Khan). Chulbul felt that his father favoured his own son Makhanchan in all matters and loved him more. Thus the relationship between him and his step father and step brother is not good. After living for some years with his stepfather, Chulbul finds it better to stay away from them (i.e. his step father and step brother). But for his mother he keeps some sort of connection with them. But even this connection doesn't continue for long time. One day his mother also dies. He loved his mother too much that's why he was in touch with his step father and step brother. But after her mother's demise he disconnects all his relation from them. Chulbul's viewpoint to see life is very different. But when he falls in love with Rajo (Sonakshi Sinha) his viewpoint to see life takes a new turn. Chulbul Pandey starts seeing life life in a positive way. He also feels the importance of a family. Rajo is the daughter of a potter in the same village where Chulbul's police station is located. Things take more turn when Chulbul coincides Chhedi Singh. Chhedi Singh (Sonu Sood) is a young political leader of that village. Chheddi Singh causes rift between the two brothers for his own benefits. Chhedi Singh is a goon in the disguise of political leader.Chhedi Singh thinks that Chulbul was one of the biggest obstacles in his way to earn name and fame. So he wants to get rid of Chulbul Pandey from his life. Would Chhedi get success in killing Chulbul Pandey? Would the two brothers get united ever or the distance between their separation would go on increasing? DABAANG is a nice film and contains almost all filmy masalas to gain popularity. It is an action packed film with everything in it. After the super hit action film WANTED of Salmaan Khan this film is going to be another successful film. In the past years audience has watched two movies which were brilliant in action scenes and they were GAJANI of Aamir Khan and WANTED of Salmaan Khan. This film too falls in the same category. The action scenes are marvelous and very thrilling. Salmaan's fans have once again got something exciting to see what they wanted to see. The music of the film too is excellent. Before the release of the film, the song MUNNI BADNAAM HUI DARING TERE LIYE, became so popular that on every corner of the streets the song was heard being played. The song was added as an item number song but apart from Salmaan Khan, this song became the identity of the film. The film will be know for two reasons; first is Salmaan Khan and his action scenes and secondly for the item song MUNNI BADNAAM HUI.. MUNNI BADNAAM HUI has been written and composed by Lalit Pandit who earlier used to give music with his partner Jatin and they were known as Jatin-Lalit. Even other songs composed by the Music directors Sajid-Wajid are good and have become popular. Some of the popular songs which can be mentioned here are TRERE MAST MAST DO NAIN, title song DABANG DABAANG, The performance of Salmaan Khan is excellent. He has proved that in action scenes he is not less than anyone. He is also too good in is dance, romantic and emotional scenes. This is the debut film of Sonakshi Sinha who is also the daughter of another great star Shatrughan Sinha who is also a big politician in the present scenario. Sonakshi looks beautiful and fits the role. Though there is not too much scope for her to do something extra, yet she has justified her part very well. Her future is bright if her selection of films would be good. Though Malaika Arora is seen in the hit item song MUNNI BAI BADNAAM only, she has done her part well. She also happens to be the wife of the producer Arbaaj Khan who is the brother of Salmaan Khan. Arbaaj Khan too has played the role of Salmaan's step brother and has played his role brilliantly. Arbaaj is also the producer of this film. This is his 1st film as a producer and he is going to taste its success because this film is really going to do very good business. Abhinv Singh Kashyap is the director of this film. He is the brother of another famous director of Bollywood Anurag Kashyap. Abhinav has also assisted his brother and other directors such as Ashutosh Gowatrikar, Vishal Bhardwaj in their films. This is the debut film of Abhinav and he has proved that he is a good director. The way he has treated all scenes is marvelous. He is lucky that he got Salmaan Khan in his first film. There are other renowned actors too in this film such as Vinod Khanna, Dimple Kapadia, Anupam Kher, Mahesh manjreker, Om Puri etc. Though they are reputed actors they don't have too much to do in this film. But what ever they have done can be said to be excellent. Sonu Sood is outstanding in his role. Overall the film is good. Except a few dirty dialogues, everything in the film is good. If you are a fan of Salmaan, you shouldn't miss it. If you love actions films you must watch it. It is not only action film but also entertaining film. This film is worth watching in theaters.
