One night, an old postman Ferdi (Naseeruddin Shah) gets undelivered letter which he once wrote to propose his lady-love Stefanie Fernandes (Anjali Patil). He is depressed because throughout his life he waited for that reply which never got delivered. Seeing her best friend in pain, Angie (Deepika Padukone) encourages him to find his love for which he has waited his entire life.

Angie plans out a road trip to find Ferdie's love Fanny. She takes the help of her ex-lover Savio Da Gama (Arjun Kapoor) to drive the car which belongs to an artiste Don Pedro (Pankaj Kapur), who is obsessed to paint Madame Rosalyn (Dimple Kapadia) which in turn happens to be Angie's mother-in-law. These five varied personalities set out of their village Pokolim to find Fanny.
