Mansi and Veer are both on the run. One is running away from the possibility of an arranged marriage, the other is running away from his fiance-to-be. Mansi (Zareen Khan) and Veer (Anshuman Jha) rejecting conventional, rigid parents and stereotypical expectations and running towards their respective true loves. But 'complicated' is an understatement when it comes to each one's relationship status.

Bullah Ki Jaana Mein Kaun (The poet doesn't know who I am) is one of the most spiritually beautiful Kafi poem written by the Punjabi Sufi saint Bulleh Shah. Bullah Ki Jaana is used as the crux of this LGBTQ coming of age love story that ironically gets self-defeated in the end and is left searching for an identity. But still, the moments and the thought deserve a special place in the genre.

'A boy drives a girl to help her unite with her lover'- the storyboard of Hum Bhi Akele, Tum Bhi Akele might seem similar to fans of the Bollywood movie Jab We Met, but the film takes many different turns on the way. And anyone who has been on a ride with many bumps and curves, would know that at the end of it, you are usually left with a back ache. The Zareen Khan-Anshuman Jha starrer suffers from this issue as well.
