A. R. Rahman will pay a musical tribute to Sridevi in her 300th film, Mom!

In the history of the Bollywood or Indian film industry for that instance, Sridevi is one iconic actress who made her credibility with stellar performances in many films, in many languages. And with her upcoming film, Mom , she’ll complete her 300th film, career spanned over 50years. So it was obvious that this film would be special for her. But to make this film even more special, musical maestro A. R. Rahman will be composing a special song titled, 'Muafi Mushkil' which is written by Irshad Kamil, as a tribute to Sridevi .

The song itself had a unique story to it! Rahman composed this song on his 50th birthday, right after celebrating his birthday, he went straight to the studio to start working on the song and eventually used in a tribute to Sridevi ! The album complied five songs, all written by Irshad Kamil and as per the reports goes, Rahman even includes Palestinian singer Sana Moussa. Even director of Mom Ravi Udyawar  quotes, “Music and background score plays an important role in this film, as sounds convey the emotions of my characters, and to enhance the pause, to feel the lows and the highs. With acclaimed music director Rahman on board, I'm assured of speaking my scenes through music!”

As Mom will also be released in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, hence A. R. Rahman is also tasked to compose music for those versions too. Besides Sridevi , the casting also includes Akshaye Khanna, Sajal Ali, Adnan Siddiqui, Abhimanyu Singh & Nawazuddin Siddiqui. It is scheduled to release on 7th July!
