Boxoffice Clash Alert! Kartik Aaryan's Guest Iin London to face off Sridevi's Mom

With the number of films being made in our country, hitting the big screens every Friday, dates of some films are bound to witness a clash and some films may enjoy a solo release. Even if filmmakers these days book the release date of the movie way prior in advance, they have to undergo a stressful bait when another film is announced on the same day. While it seems to affect the box-office earnings of both the films, a clash becomes a talk of the town and a topic of discussion amongst cine lovers!

The movies are pitted against each other, day-to-day box-office numbers are taken into record and comparisons are made. Until the film reaches its D-Day on Friday, there is suspense built. Soon, two much talked about films Sridevi starrer Mom and Kartik Aaryan and Paresh Rawal’s Guest Iin London are set to release on the same day i.e. on July 7, 2017!

While this date is specially chosen for Sridevi’s film by husband-producer Boney Kapoor as it is her 300th film and she completes 50 glorious years in the industry making her first film release on this day. It will be interesting if any filmmaker amongst the two plans to move their release outing considering the trend.

It is interesting to note that both the releases are of different genres. Mom is a thriller and a dark film that also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna among others. Guest Iin London is a light comedy that also stars Kriti Kharbanda and Paresh Rawal among others. Both theses genres and films have their own loyal audiences considering the star cast!
