Karan Kundrra-Zareen Khan starrer ‘1921’ finds audience even after five weeks of its release

At times small films do big wonders at the box office. And the best example of the same is acclaimed filmmaker Vikram Bhatt’s latest offering 1921. Starring Karan Kundrra and Zareen Khan in principal roles, the film arrived in theatres on 12th January 2018. Powered by good storytelling, stellar performances and melodious music, the movie received a rousing response from the audience. It has been more than a month now, but 1921 is still finding audiences in theatres.

As we just mentioned, the movie registered a great response at the box office, which translated well into its box office earnings as well. Even after facing massive competition from biggies like Tiger Zinda Hai, Padmaavat and now Pad Man, the film remained steady at the cash counters and made a handsome amount of money.

This is the 5th week of 1921 in the cinemas and this just crushes the myth that Hindi horror films do not work well with the audience anymore. The film was made on a moderate budget and every stakeholder associated with the film has already recovered their investment. Besides hitting cinemas, the film had already recovered the cost of production through non-theatrical rights and digital rights.
