Neha Bhasin

Neha Bhasin can be mentioned as an all-in one artist. She is an Indian pop-star, songwriter, singer and TV anchor. Neha was the member of 'Viva!', an Indian pop girl group. The multifaceted artist was born on 18th November 1982. She hails from a Punjabi Khatri family based in Delhi. Her parents' names are Ashok Bhasin and Rekha Bhasin. The actress is having a brother and a sister. She was the student of The Frank Anthony Public School in Delhi. Neha was studying in Lady Shri Ram College for Women in Delhi. The actress is a sociology graduate.

Having a tremendous penchant for music and performing arts, Neha desired to follow it as her career. Prior taking its formal training, she began to participate in myriad contests from her young age. Later on, Neha became a part of Shiamak Davar's dance troupe and she learned the classical singing at Ghulam Mustafa Khan. She gave auditions for Coke [V] Popstars, a television talent show. After winning this competition, she designed her own pop band called Viva!. In the year 2002, the pop band released its album with the same name Viva!. Post success of this album, they came up with Viva! Reloaded. The split happened between the group after this album and the group members went to their own ways. During that time, Neha started her solo career in the field of playback singing.

The young lady started singing for Indian soundtracks. She began singing with title track of Hindi album 'Bullet - Ek Dhamaka'. She herself wrote lyrics of the song and Somesh Mathur composed it. Neha also sang several songs for eminent people like Salim Merchant-Sulaiman Merchant, Anand Raj Anand and Aadesh Shrivastava. The year 2007 observed Neha lending her voice to a Tamil track 'Pesugiren Pesugiren' from the movie 'Satham Podathey'. The talented actress received Vijay Award for Best Female Playback Singer. Afterwards, Neha also sang for several Tamil tracks. She was the one who sang 'Kuch Khaas' from the film 'Fashion'. For this, she got nomination for the category of Best Female Playback Singer from Filmfare. It was a composition of Salim Merchant-Sulaiman Merchant. In the year 2011, a song of her received much applause. It was for 'Dhunki' from the YRF movie 'Mere Brother ki Dulhan'. New Musical Sensation - Female was the award she attained from Stardust for this song. She got nominated for Screen Awards, Zee Cine Awards and Apsara Awards.

For television show aired on Zee TV - Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Hungama, Neha was the anchor. In the year 2010, Neha released her music album titled 'Tabaah'. Gaurav Dayal was its producer and some songs from the album were written by Neha herself. This album of Neha accomplished many thumbs ups.

The beauty performed plenty of live shows worldwide. Some of her events include the launch of Singapore's first Tamil channel - Vasantham, Radio Raaga Awards in the year 2010, in an event along with Salim Merchant-Sulaiman Merchant called as GIMA Awards, Mirchi Music awards' special aerial act and to list a few.
