Anushka Manchanda

An Indian model, a singer and ex-VJ on Channel V, Anushka Manchanda was born in Delhi. Anushka was born on February 11, 1985. Manchanda grew up listening to rock n roll music and playing piano. She rose to fame after winning Coke [V] Popstars - a TV talent show, in 2002. Anushka was a part of 'Viva!', an Indian pop girl group. Lateron, owing to differences, the group split away and Anushka stepped in the world of Video Jockeying on Channel [V].

After playing VJ, Anushka entered in playback singing with a Tamil film 'Manmadhan'. Its music was composed by renowned music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. Anushka sang for the same music composer in the other film-tracks like 'Kudakooli', 'Oh..Oh..Ennanamo', 'Thee Pidikka' and 'Money Money'. She got her first break in Hindi playback singing in the comedy-film 'Golmaal'. After this, she achieved offers from the other well-known music composers, such as Salim-Suleiman, Anu Malik, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Pritam Chakraborty and Amit Trivedi.

The dusky beauty has performed a cameo in the film 'Dulha Mil Gaya'. For the same film, she lent her voice to three songs. The year 2010 saw Anushka starring in 'MTV Pulsar Stunt Mania' - a reality show. She sang Dum Maaro Dum song in the film 'Dum Maaro Dum' garnered immense popularity. Anushka turned songstress for several movies like 'Aisha', 'Cash', 'Lafangey Parindey', 'Zindaggi Rocks', 'Golmaal Returns', 'We Are Family', 'Chandni Chowk to China', 'Hum Tum Shabana', 'Race 2', 'Jayanta Bhai Ki Luv Story', 'ABCD - Any Body Can Dance'. The latest track sung by Anushka is 'Naa Jaane' from the film 'I, Me Aur Main', featured on Chitrangada Singh, John Abraham and Prachi Desai.

The multi-faceted Bollywood girl was a judge for TV show, 'Lions of Punjab Presents'. She showcased her sporty attitude by participating in stunt show on small screen, 'Fear Factor: Khantron Ke Khiladi' and won the competition crossing all the dangerous stunts.
